343 Industries has posted a new community update regarding the development of Halo 5: Guardians. One sticking point that fans have been asking about lately concerns the fact that the most expensive version of the game doesn’t come with a physical copy, substituting a digital code instead. In the last update they explained why this was done, having to do with the packaging and production timelines. Essentially they cut the physical disc, but left the steelbook case and all other physical goodies, because they weren’t sure if they could manufacture enough discs in time to get them into the box with the other stuff....
