Earlier today Bette Midler announced on her Twitter page that a sequel to the cult classic Hocus Pocus is finally getting the ball rolling. The inspiration for Horizon: Zero Dawn’s main character came from popular female characters such as Ellen Ripley and Sarah Connor. Paradiger asked the game’s director, Mathijs de Jonge on how Guerrilla Games got inspiration for the main character in Horizon: Zero Dawn. Jonge said on Twitter they needed a “strong character” for the game. He noted Ellen Ripley from Aliens and Sarah Connor from the Terminator movies as big inspirations. He said he also wanted the character to be “young and tribal” too....

We got our first glimpse at the Avengers A-Day game during Square Enix’s conference earlier this evening. The reveal with a story-trailer, some details about the four-player online coop game, and a release date, which is May 15, 2020. We also learned about the game’s DLC and additional maps coming to the game. Post-launch, the developers, Crystal Dynamics, plan to release at least three new heroes for players to choose from and they’re going to push brand new maps for players to explore and complete missions....

Gwent: The Witcher Card Game has been available in beta form since last year on PC and Xbox One, giving Witcher fans a taste of what the developers have done to make the series’ classic card game a standalone experience. Portkey Games and Avalanche Software finally announced the release date for their upcoming title Hogwarts Legacy, which is now slated for February 10, 2023. Initially announced in 2020 with a release date of 2021, like many games over the last year, were postponed to the holiday season of 2022. Posted to Twitter, the announcement meant that the release of the game will be delayed a few more weeks. The delay will primarily affect the PlayStation, Xbox, and PC versions of the title, with the developers stating a Nintendo Switch release “will be revealed soon....
