Scream Taught Melissa To Trust Herself As An Actress

During the Q&A, Melissa Barrera confessed that before filming Scream, she was a method actress who would resort to extreme measures like isolating herself from cast and crew members on sets and shutting down emotionally to put herself in the proper headspace for her character “if I had a very emotional scene or exhausting scene, something that requires a lot of me emotionally I would just shut down because I thought I had to save energy to be able to deliver that and it made me not have fun sometimes.”
