Fortnite is one of the most popular games in the world, and it continues to grow in popularity thanks to lots of celebrity and IP tie-ins, and the addition of no-build mode. But how do you measure that popularity? Well, one way would be with unique downloads. That would measure the number of people who’ve downloaded and tried the game. So just how many downloads does Fortnite have?

How many mobile downloads does Fortnite have?

According to multiple sources, as of 2022, Fortnite had around 129 million downloads on the Apple App Store and Google Play. However, that number could potentially be much higher. During the Apple/Epic Games lawsuit in 2021, the court proceedings revealed that Apple had around 116 million players who used iOS devices as their primary platform. Given that this would mean there are only 13 million players on Android if the numbers are correct, then it’s likely the true number is much higher.

How many downloads does Fortnite have on PC?

Due to the nature of PC downloads, and Epic Games not releasing its figures, it’s unknown how many downloads of Fortnite have been made on PC, and other platforms. But recent Statista metrics suggest that Fortnight could have over 400 million registered users. While some of these accounts are likely duplicates or smurfs, it would only remove a fraction of those accounts. This makes Fortnite one of the most played and downloaded games ever, along with Minecraft, PUBG: Battlegrounds, and Among Us.
