With the upcoming release of God of War: Ragnarok, fans have loads of questions, including how long it will take to complete the massive game. The upcoming release of God of War: Ragnarok is looking like it’s going to be one of the biggest Playstation game releases to date, and we are all so excited about it! It’s such a big thing that the developers of the upcoming game have already given out a Cosplay Guide for anyone who wants to dress up as the famous God Of War: Ragnarok characters this Halloween.
How Long Will it Take To Complete God of War: Ragnarok?
Recently, some interesting questions were answered in one of the latest IGN podcast episodes. One of these was about the length and size of the game. Jada Griffin of IGN declared that she had already put a whole 70 hours into the game and has yet to finish it. Earlier, it was claimed that the game would take approximately 40 hours, 20 hours for its main story and another 20 hours for its many side quests. However, that clearly changed. If Jada Griffin put in over 70 hours and still hasn’t finished the game, it’s safe to assume that we should expect to be putting in 75 hours or more.
Though IGN gave away very few, if any, spoilers during their podcast episode, we were able to conclude a couple of things for sure. First of all, God of War: Ragnarok will be a massive game that will take a long time to complete. This is not only because of the big story and amount of side quests but also because of the size of the game itself: 110GB.
Another addition to the game is a change to some of the controller button functions. The triangle button, which used to be used for throwing and retrieving the Leviathan Axe, has a completely different effect now, depending on which weapon you have equipped.
And finally, even the story alone indicates the amount of time it will take to finish God of War: Ragnarok. Ragnarok is a rather large part of Norse mythology, containing loads of different elements from the culture that almost need to be involved in the gameplay for it to all make sense.
