Fire Emblem: Three Houses is a massive tactical RPG coming to Nintendo Switch in a matter of weeks and thanks to the game’s Director, Toshiyuki Kasukihara, we now know precisely how long it will take to complete the game.

Three branching paths in total will explore the campaign for each of the Three Houses that the game is based on and each one will take roughly around 80 hours to complete.

When combined, you are looking at 240 hours of gameplay material, albeit, some of this might be rinsed and repeated throughout the story to make sure certain critical parts interlinked.

We also imagine that most of this time is spent at the beginning portions of the game in the school area, before the time skip, when players will need to teach every student regardless of the branching path they take and play through the same vital story missions over and over again.

Of course, on second playthroughs or through speedrunners, the game’s various routes could be finished a lot faster once you know what you are doing, so expect this number to reflect a casual, first-time playthrough of the game.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is out on 26th July 2019, on Nintendo Switch.
