Below Deck Adventure star deckhand Kyle Dickard recently resigned from the show; however, most fans already predicted he wouldn’t last the season. When Below Deck Adventure season 1 premiered in November, fans of the BravoTV reality world were excited at the prospect of watching another Below Deck spin-off that features an all-new cast sailing the chilly fjord in Norway. However, just after the first episode aired, a particular cast member, deckhand Kyle Dickard became a huge topic of discussion for the fans.

Kyle had joined the Below Deck Adventure cast as one of the most experienced crew members with more than five years of experience as a deckhand. Fans also had high expectations of the 25-year-old after he was featured in the trailer for getting into some drama with his co-stars. However, after episode one of Below Deck Adventure aired, many fans surprisingly rushed to call the deckhand out. A Reddit user u/Ok-Letterhead4110 wrote:

Many other Reddit users also echoed this thought, with several fans even going as far as predicting Kyle wouldn’t last very long on the series. A Reddit user u/Pangeialigus noted:

“Yea, I hate to say it, but it seems as though he has a hard time with people that aren’t the same color as him.”

Kyle Dickard Lasted Just Three Episodes on Below Deck Adventure

“Just finished watching 1st episode and already can’t stand Kyle! As a fellow American, I am ashamed of his representation! I’m ready to see him getting fired by next episode!”

After an underwhelming start to his Below Deck Adventure appearance, Kyle Dickard exited the series after just three episodes. The deckhand had to resign due to a culmination of disappointing behaviors in the series. Kyle’s trouble began when he started refusing to follow instructions from Captain Kerry Titheradge. Still, Captain Kerry’s three-strike policy didn’t jeopardize Kyle’s place among the crew.

However, within a short period of time, Kyle’s annoying behavior quickly got him in trouble. First, he made fellow cast stewardess Kasie Faddah very uncomfortable when he tried kissing her in front of chatter guests. Nonetheless, Kyle missed the opportunity to get back in the crew’s good books when he got drunk and berated fellow deckhand Nathan Morley.

Kyle’s last and final offense happened when he refused to flush the toilet and instead threatened cabin mate Nathan who asked him to. After hearing about the incident, Captain Kerry gave Kyle the option to resign or risk dismissal, which would make a huge dent in his record. Kyle resigned and unceremoniously left Below Deck Adventure after just three episodes.

Kyle Dickard Has Been Replaced on Below Deck Adventure

After Kyle departed from the Below Deck Adventure season 1, the show producers brought in a replacement in the form of Seth Jacobson. Seth, who has more than nine years of experience in the yachting world, will join the crew as the new deckhand. Fans of the reality series are excited to see what Seth brings to the series, and hopefully, it wouldn’t be similar to Kyle.
