The scientist role in Among Us allows players to check the vital signs of all players in the game via the vitals panel. Using this panel will enable the scientist to keep an eye on the status of the crew and know when someone dies in the game.

But to keep using the vitals panel, players will need to charge a battery for it. Luckily this battery can be charged little by little as players complete tasks in Among Us.

Ultimately the scientist role in Among Us comes down to players roaming the map, completing tasks, and monitoring the life status of the crew. When someone dies, ideally, it would be the scientist’s job to let the crew know so they can start a meeting and figure out what happened.

How to set the Scientist role in Among us

To set the scientist role, players will need to view lobby settings. In lobby settings, players can select the role’s spawn rate and fool around with role settings.

If you want to change these settings, start by creating a game by clicking either local or online when at the main menu.

When you load in, you will need to click the button that says customize at the bottom right of your screen. Clicking this button will take you to a screen that will look like the one listed below.

Click the button marked by the red box above, and it will take you to the role settings menu.

In the role settings menu, players will be able to change how many scientists there can be in a single game and the chance for the role to appear. To change ability settings, players will need to hit the button label ADV.
