This seems like one of those announcements that you already thought was the case before it was officially confirmed. Housemarque, makers of Super Stardust, Resogun, Matterfall, and the newly-released Returnal, has been acquired by Sony to join its lineup of studios under the PlayStation Studios banner, making it the 13th studio in PlayStation’s arsenal. Announced on the PlayStation Blog, the studio will join with illustrious names such as Guerilla Games (Killzone and Horizon) Naughty Dog (Uncharted and The Last of Us), Santa Monica Studio (God of War), and the recently acquired Insomniac (Ratchet and Clank).
