The hit PC horror game, Infliction, is making its way to Nintendo Switch. But this one will come with new surprises, as it is being released in an Extended Cut addition. From award-winning indie publisher Blowfish Studios and developer Caustic Reality, this game was originally available on Steam. But now fans of being scared can take their fright on the go with Switch’s versatility.

Infliction is an interactive nightmare experience. The game’s story revolves around a distraught father seeking answers to what befell his family. Navigate a complex haunted house while solving puzzles and running from the evil denizens. Players can hide under beds or closets to avoid being dragged to hell by the supernatural. Particularly courageous players can use light, such as a camera’s flash, to temporarily evade the horrific denizens of the suburban home. The game focuses on blending supernatural dread with very real anxieties. The dynamic environments add another layer to the fear this game cultivates which will leave even seasoned horror fans uneasy.

Founder of Caustic Reality and mission designer for Blowfish Studios, Clinton McCleary, stated:

The Extended Cut has all the same content as the original game. But there is now new content built on top of that, as well as alternative endings. There is also a new Game Plus Mode, which has features that include remixed scares, brand new puzzles, a higher level of difficulty, and more surprises for players.

Infliction: Extended Cut is currently available for pre-purchase on Nintendo eShop for $19.99 / €17.99 / £15.99. It will officially release on July 2, 2020. The game will feature language support for English, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese.
