As part of PlayStation’s pandemic-easing Play at Home 2021 initiative, which sees the platform-holder dish out free copies of select games to ‘to make the next few months a little more fun,’ Guerilla Games’ acclaimed open-world action-RPG Horizon Zero Dawn is free to download on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 today. The Complete Edition, DLC and all, no less.

To be exact, the free download of Horizon Zero Down goes live later on today at 8:00 pm PT or overnight at 4:00 am BST and 5:00 am CEST for the folks based in Europe. PlayStation is generously allowing just under a month to claim the game, up until May 14th at 8:00 pm PT or May 15th at 4:00 am BST/5:00 am CEST. Horizon Zero Dawn Part of PlayStation’s Play at Home 2021 Initiative

The Horizon Zero Dawn freebie follows on from Ratchet & Clank last month, and a slew of excellent third-party games made available since March 25th. These include the likes of the nautically-themed Abzû and Subnautica, indie gem Enter the Gungeon, the excellent puzzler The Witness, and VR titles Moss, Thumper, and Paper Beast. A pretty stacked roster by anyone’s standards and one covering a broad range of genres. Make sure you pick these up before the offer runs out in a few short days on April 22nd at 8:00 pm PT or April 23rd at 4:00 am BST/5:00 am CEST.

According to the PlayStation blog post sharing details of the initiative, Sony has no plans to stop after Horizon Zero Dawn. The gaming giant advises that it has ‘more to share soon,’ implying that PlayStation players may have even more free games to look forward to as the summer months approach.
