Tonight’s show was one for the ages. Elden Ring took home two of the most significant awards of the night, including the Game of the Year award. God of War: Ragnarok, on the other hand, had some great awards as well. But one other big game that was launched this year also had a nice announcement. Horizon Forbidden West is launching its Burning Shores DLC the following spring. Just like the previous title, this DLC will take Aloy to a new area, Hollywood, as shown in the trailer. The DLC is not too far away, and it is great to see Guerrilla Games expanding the Horizon universe even more.
Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores DLC launches on April 19, 2023
In the trailer, we can see Aloy above one of the iconic machines flying toward a burning place. By the end of the trailer, we can spot a broken-down Hollywood sign which shows where the place is. Besides that, we can also see a huge new machine that’ll make its appearance when the Horizon Burning Shores DLC gets here.
Final Fantasy 16 Reveals Its Official Release Date
Guerrilla Games has not given a lot of details yet other than it’ll be exclusive to the PS5. There’s still not a pre-order page either, but we can expect to have it anytime during the first months of 2023. Still, it is nice to see that Aloy will venture once more into an untamed and dangerous land. Besides the Horizon Burning Shores DLC, we also saw a bit more about Horizon Call of the Mountain. One of the day-one titles for the PS VR2. Also, there are rumors of an MMO game set in the Horizon universe. That would be great now that Funcom will launch a multiplayer game set in Dune’s universe. If it is true, Guerrilla Games has a good chance of expanding its universe even further with an MMO of its own. In the meantime, let’s hope we get more news about the upcoming DLC that’ll let us explore the post-apocalyptic version of Los Angeles in this game.
