It’s time again to try and find the greatest present you can for that special gamer in your life. Luckily for you, our Electronic Arts Holiday Gift Guide has some great ideas. Whether they love action-adventure, sports, or sims, there’s something for everyone in EA’s library these days.
Jedi Fallen Order
This fall’s smash hit is the first entry in Electronic Arts’ Holiday Gift Guide. Jedi Fallen Order is a smashing success according to critics and gamers alike. You’ll get to take on a brand new character in the Star Wars universe in an attempt to jump-start the Jedi Order. Likely the only game on this list that isn’t going to get a Black Friday sale price. That doesn’t mean there isn’t a deal to be had. You can get this for either the Xbox One or the PS4 from GameStop and snag a $15 Fandango ticket along with it.
Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville
The latest offering in this long-running series features in the Holiday Gift Guide for the youngsters in your family who love to game. That doesn’t mean Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville is a game only the younguns will love. Plenty of adults love a game featuring crazy undead and living plants. Like Fallen Order, the game is too new to really have a great sale price but Walmart is offering a bit of a deal. After you add it to your cart, you can get it for $39.88. Not a deep discount but every little bit saved helps during the holiday season.
Need for Speed Heat
Apex Legends
This is kind of a weird addition to the Holiday Gift Guide for Electronic Arts, simply because you can get this game totally free if you want. If you’re looking to get something you can wrap and give to someone, there is an option for that as well. The Battle Royale Shooter has two new physical editions, called the Bloodhound and Lifeline Editions. Both of these offerings are being offered for $19.99 at most major retailers. There doesn’t appear to be any Black Friday deals on the horizon but you can get a few bucks off if you go through GameStop and get the used versions.
FIFA 20
This year’s offering for FIFA 20 is allowing people to put together a female manager for the first time. That’s just one of the improvements Electronic Arts has brought to the super popular series. Hitting store shelves this summer, there are going to be some great deals for that soccer fan in your life. You can thank this Holiday Gift Guide when you pick up the game for under $30 on Black Friday at almost any major retailer. If you simply cannot wait that long, you can still get it for $15 off the regular MSRP at Walmart.
Madden 20
NHL 20
Another long-running sports series gets featured in this year’s Holiday Gift Guide. This time it’s NHL 20 which just manages to improve on the franchise mode the series has been offering up. This is one of the more realistic versions of the sports video games you’re going to find anywhere. That’s because it manages to perfectly capture how an NHL GM is going to have to balance whether or not they want to extend someone’s contract, or if they want to let them walk. There is also the option to send someone down, or bring them up from the minor leagues. Then, once you’ve built a team that mirrors the real National Hockey League, there’s the feel on the ice.
Sims 4
If sports aren’t really up that special gamer’s alley, you can go with one of the best games in this Holiday Gift Guide. The Sims 4 just keeps on, keeping on, thanks in large part to all the various expansions that come along. The latest new pieces of DLC are Discover University and Realm of Magic. This is literally a game that allows you to take on the role of someone who is in college. Dorm life, frat life, or just studying, you’ll be able to do whatever it is you want to do. Realm of Magic allows your sim to feel as though they are hanging out with Harry Potter. Or at least in a similar world.
