Today during the Xbox and Bethesda showcase, players were treated to a premiere trailer for the Justin Roiland and Squanch Games title High on Life. The co-creator of the popular series Rick and Morty is working with his team at Squanch Games to bring players a new first-person shooter arriving on PC and Xbox One & Series X|S later this year.

High on Life will see players step into the shoes of a fresh high school graduate who is now thrust into an intergalactic bounty hunter when the villain Garmantuous starts to use humanity as his new drug when a cartel of aliens invades Earth. Grabbing the nearest talking gun, our young protagonist will set out to become the hero and stop Garmantuous from enslaving all humankind.

Fight With a Comedic Talking Arsenal in This First-Person Shooter

Defeating Garmantuous won’t be easy, though. You’ll have to work with or against the various NPCs in this world. Acquire an arsenal of talking guns that will provide players with plenty of humor and entertainment as they fight against the forces of Garmantuous. Each of these weapons will have its personalities, gameplay, and upgrades while providing a narrative on what’s going on.

Fans will be treated with much of Roiland’s comedic style, with much of the trailer featuring his style. High on Life is already confirmed for a day one release on the popular gaming service Xbox Game Pass for immediate download and play.

Unfortunately, for now, all we’re going to get is a trailer for the upcoming Squanch Games title High on Life outside of a release date of October 2022. Head to the Squanch game development page to follow updates regarding their newest title, High on Life. Additionally, you can check out any other of their titles like Trover Saves the Universe or Accounting+.
