News yesterday of turbulence between Konami and Hideo Kojima had many questioning if Konami would continue to make Metal Gear games going forward, AND if this news has had any impact on Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Well Konami has already come out and revealed that they’ve got other Metal Gear games in the works.  Just earilier, Kojima has also had a statement for fans.  The game developer reassured fans via press release of his involvement and commitment to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

“I want to reassure fans that I am 100% involved and will continue working on Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain; I’m determined to make it the greatest game I’ve directed to date.  Don’t miss it!”

Konami removed the mention of Kojima from marketing materials earlier this week, and Kojima Productions L.A. has been renamed to Konami Los Angeles.  There’s obviously been some sort of falling out between the two parties.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is hopefully still on track for a September release on PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
