Hideo Kojima, one of the producers of Silent Hill, is reportedly working on a new horror game called Overdose. Tom Henderson of Try Hard Guides claims he’s been sent footage of the game and that Margaret Qualley is the main character.

Although Death Stranding 2 is almost newly confirmed, it seems surprising that Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions are working on several projects at the same time. And it has long been suggested that the Japanese creator might be working on a high-profile horror game after Silent Hill.

Overdose Could be Hideo Kojima’s New Horror Game

Tom Henderson’s page explains that the new Kojima Productions game will be called Overdose. Margaret Qualley, who played Mama in Death Stranding, will play the lead role in the new horror game. However, he assures that this “early footage” sent to them anonymously makes it clear that it is not Death Stranding 2, recently leaked by Norman Reedus.

In the trailer, Qualley can be seen in a blue dress walking down a dark hallway with a flashlight in her hand. Although the video shows the character in the third person, she can be played with that camera and a first-person perspective.

At the end of the video, there is a jump scare type of scare followed by three posters: the end of the footage shows ‘GAMEOVER’ followed by ‘A Hideo Kojima Game’ and ‘OVERDOSE.’

This leak occurred a few days before the opening gala of Summer Game Fest 2022, which will take place on June 9th. So the game may be shown (if it exists) this week, during the Summer Game Fest, because Hideo Kojima is a great friend of Geoff Keighley.

In addition to that, Hideo Kojima revealed a while ago that they are working on two video games, one of them a triple-A that “everyone will want to play” and that aims to blur the line.
