Publisher Good Shepard Entertainment and Dark Horse Comics have officially announced Hellboy Web of Wyrd at the 2022 Game Awards, a new roguelike action-adventure game based on Mike Mignola’s Hellboy franchise. The game is expected to come to PC and all major consoles soon, though no specific release date was provided.

Hellboy Web of Wyrd is a brand-new roguelike game developed as a creative collaboration between Good Shepard Entertainment and Dark Horse Comics to produce a game based on Mike Mignola’s iconic Hellboy comic franchise.
The game will be developed by Upstream Arcade, best known for its work on the Fable series, and Lance Reddick will provide the voice of the titular anti-hero. The visual style is meant to invoke the feeling and tone of the original comic series and accentuate the stylized gameplay. It tells a brand new story in the Hellboy universe as players will explore the mysterious and dangerous world of the Wyrd, combating nightmarish and otherworldly monsters to survive.
“Adapting the Hellboy comics to a game is a dream project for all of us. The opportunity to create something authentic — that’s something we take very seriously,” said Amanda Kruse, publishing director at Good Shepherd Entertainment, in a press release.
“Our partnership with Mike Mignola and the creative team at Dark Horse has been inspiring. The support and trust they’ve given us has allowed Upstream Arcade to bring their vision to life. Hellboy Web of Wyrd is a bold new work we are excited to share with fans of the comics and action-adventure games alike.”
Hellboy Web of Wyrd is currently in development for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. It is currently available to wishlist now, though no official release date has been revealed at this time.
