Want to cast more powerful spells? You need Focus
The wizarding world of Harry Potter is chock full of confusing and unique terminology. What’s a bludger? Who is an auror? The questions about what and who things are could be endless really. And this is also the case for the newly released mobile game, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. The game throws tons of new concepts at you, even if you have played Niantic’s previous releases such as Pokemon GO. One of the more confusing pieces is Focus, a key element of the Fortress battle system. To help, here’s a quick rundown of what is Focus in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite.
What is Focus
The answer, as previously indicated is found in the Fortress battles that also qualify as Wizarding Challenges. Again, lots of terms in this universe and game. So, what is Focus specifically? Focus is basically the amount of energy you have to cast the more powerful spells you’ll need to use to reach the highest Challenges within the Fortress. You will start with an initial amount of Focus and use it up as you cast these spells.
Which spells use Focus? Well, not the normal ones at least. These use Spell Energy instead and are much easier to cast. There’s lots of ways to get more Spell Energy thankfully, but Focus is a bit tougher to get ahold of. Potions are basically the only way to get more Focus while inside of a Fortress, so be sure to stock up on them if you plan to do a lot of battling and spell casting. Once you run out, you will be stuck using your regular spells which won’t benefit yourself or your team as much, so keep an eye on it.
