In 2015, CreativeForge Games and Good Shepherd Entertainment brought us Hard West, a turn-based strategy game that combines the Wild West with the supernatural. Now, nearly seven years after the first game’s release, that unique combination is returning. Today, Good Shepherd Entertainment announced the beginning of the open beta for Hard West 2 on Steam.
There has been a change in development teams between games. The first Hard West was developed by CreativeForge Games, while Ice Code Games are working on the sequel. The developer isn’t the only thing that has changed in Hard West 2. Good Shepherd Entertainment say players can expect lots of new and improved content in Hard West 2.
The Hard West 2 open beta will showcase just a bit of what’s to come
Protagonist Gin Carter is an outlaw who attempts to rob a haunted train and subsequently loses his soul to the Devil. The game follows Gin and other characters working to hunt down the Devil and reclaim Gin’s soul. Players who join the Hard West 2 open beta will get to experience the first part of the story.
