In an unexpecting move for the new Halo TV series on Paramount+, 343 Industries’ Studio Head of Transmedia, Kiki Wolfkill, shared some exciting news. While speaking with IGN with Matt Purslow, Kiki Wolfkill expressed the show’s intent on removing the Master Chief’s helmet while acknowledging its legacy. In other words, we’re going to see the face of the Master Chief in Halo finally.

The Face of Master Chief Will Finally Be Unveiled on Halo Paramount+

Fans of the Halo franchise are familiar with one particular fact: The Master Chief’s face remains actually to be seen. For over 20 years, some have tried to reveal the true face of Master Chief through slick techniques. And while we have seen minor glimpses, there has never been an authentic removing-of-the-helmet that’s considered canon. Especially after so many titles in the series, it’s surprising to consider that we have never seen the face of John-117.

It is a bold undertaking to keep in mind, especially with such a dedicated fan base that might be very selective on what happens to their hero. We’re not certain as to how it will be executed, but we won’t have to wait long when Halo finally drops onto Paramount+ on March 24.
