If you own Halo: Reach, you may not have a good time playing it on Xbox One. The backwards compatibility feature cannot seem to run the game properly.

As reported by Kotaku, Halo: Reach drips down to 10fps when people are playing the game on their Xbox One consoles. Kotaku’s own writer described the experience as “pretty damn crusty”.

I still have my copy lying around and tried it out for myself. I too can confirm the performance of the game is rough at the moment. It’s not totally unplayable, but it’s annoying when the game slows down when the fps drops a ton. It’s a far cry from the smooth 60fps you get when playing Halo 5: Guardians.

Halo: Reach’s Xbox One backwards compatibility performance is the exact opposite of how other Xbox 360 games run. People that have played Mass Effect have reported the game loads faster and looks smoother on Xbox One compared to playing it on the Xbox 360 console.
