With the announcement of the upcoming addition of online co-op in August to 343 Industries game Halo Infinite, the developers will begin testing the feature publicly starting in July. In a recent tweet, the company states the plan now is to start testing the feature or what is known as “flight.” The test will begin next month for Halo Insiders. If you’re wondering about Halo Infinite’s couch co-op, the introduction of this feature has yet to be announced by 343 Industries. Back in April, when 343 Industries released a statement in their blog post, they had set out with their roadmap to lay out the future. Focusing on seasons 2 and 3, along with co-op, they also want to add in the forge. This is all part of their quality-of-life updates that are rolled out but would, unfortunately, leave out anything regarding couch co-op for now.

A Change of Pace for a Better Work Environment, but Slower Updates

This is part of the plan, as 343 industries have to decide to have an intentionally slower rollout of updates in keeping with their “priority zero.” The dev team stated in their blog post covering the roadmap:

“priority zero” of team health and getting ourselves into a sustainable development rhythm so that we can deliver great experiences to all of you while maintaining a healthy work/life balance.”

For now, we should expect to see slow, gradual updates to Halo Infinite as the developer at 343 Industries is working to tackle the issues at hand and add more features and content to Halo Infinite.
