The Black Eye Skull is a modifier in Halo Infinite that adds a mechanical depth to Master Chief’s shield recharge. Instead of the shield barrier replenishing automatically after not taking damage, the Black Eye Skull will only allow recharging to occur when players melee shrike an enemy. Players who relish punching Covenant and Banished mobs will undoubtedly enjoy this modifier to their gameplay experience. However, keep in mind that the area the skull is located in isn’t accessible until Halo Infinite fans have started “The Sequence” during the main campaign. Once the players have initiated the mission, they can access the map’s southern side, where the skull is hidden.

Black Eye Skull Location in Halo Infinite

After reaching the southern island of the map, Halo Infinite players can begin their search for the Black Eye Skull near a lake between FOB Kilo and Riven Gate. A waterfall can be found within the area, with the skull resting inside a small cavern behind the falling cascade. Master Chief must use his grapple to reach the cave’s opening.

Halo Infinite: How to Get the Bandana Skull

From the perspective at ground level, the small secret entrance behind the waterfall will be hard to spot. If players are having trouble finding the hole, they can try grappling to the nearby rocky cliffs to the right of the cascade to get a more precise viewpoint. Halo Infinite fans will know they’re close to the Black Eye Skull’s location by the eerie moaning sound it produces. Landing on the ledge of the den’s opening, players must crouch to enter the hidden cave. After crawling through the tight tunnel, the Halo Infinite skull will be sitting atop a tall stalagmite.

To use the Black Eye Skull or any other skull in Halo Infinite, players will need to activate it before launching the campaign mode. This can be done by selecting “Campaign” from the main menu, choosing which game to load, and then picking which skulls to activate on the right, near the game’s difficulty settings.

Halo Infinite is available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
