Halo is a series that would traditionally consider the idea of boss battles to be taboo, excluding the Halo 2 Tartarus boss battle at least. When it comes to Halo Infinite though, the idea of boss battles is utilized to its fullest effect, with many story missions featuring bosses to tackle. From the earliest times against Tremonius to the brutish power of both Hyperius and Tovarus, there’s plenty of difficulty to go around. One of the most difficult bosses to tackle though is the Harbinger, acting as the final battle for our favorite Spartan in Halo Infinite. If you’d like some help though, we’ve got you covered. Here’s how to defeat the Harbinger and finish Halo Infinite!
How to Defeat the Harbinger in Halo Infinite
The Harbinger itself has a few attacks at its disposal, including a ranged seeking attack and a short range swipe. The latter attack isn’t too difficult to avoid provided you stay mobile (preferably with an upgraded grappling hook) but the Harbinger’s ranged attack can be a devastating blow if you aren’t careful. The best thing you can do against this is play around cover, though if that’s not possible, the drop wall may be your saving grace here. Provided you keep putting rounds into her, and stay mobile but careful, dealing with her shouldn’t be your problem though.
What will be more difficult to tackle though is the enemy forces that move to protect her whenever she goes invincible in between phases. These all need to be dispatched if you’re to move to the next phase, so you’ll need to be careful and pick off enemies as best you can. Focusing the smaller enemies can be super helpful here, as the stronger foes can then be focused without interruption. While most aren’t too bad to deal with, there’s a shielded gravity hammer-wielding brute who’s bound to cause you a lot of trouble. The unbridled rage and extremely fast nature of this enemy can make him tough, so I suggest abusing high and low ground to get to safety and throw some shots into him. He’ll be fast, but this technique should at least give you a bit more time to land some shots.
