When you start playing a video game for the first time, it makes sense to start on easy or normal difficulty and work your way up as you improve. You may also try to play at a very high difficulty and find it too challenging. There are many different reasons why you may want to change the difficulty of your game to make the experience better. How to Change Difficulty in Halo Infinite
The good news is that you can change the game’s difficulty in Halo Infinite. You can choose to switch between easy, normal, heroic and legendary difficulty levels. You can change your campaign mission difficulty at any point through the main menu. Head to the main menu and select “Load Game”. Choose your current save file and find the “Difficulty” button. From here, you will find the four difficulty levels and their descriptions. Select one of the four to change your difficulty and resume playing. You can also find your active skulls in this menu if you have any.
Unfortunately, if you change your difficulty in the middle of a mission, you will not unlock achievements for completing missions on your selected difficulty. For example, you may try playing the game on Legendary while having a skull active but decide to switch your difficulty to Heroic partway through. In this case, you will not unlock the achievement awarding you for finishing the campaign on Legendary with Skulls active. Additionally, if you want to have a 100% completion run, you will need to create a new save file to replay missions and retry for the achievements or find collectibles in past missions.
