Mantan Web reported that Attack on Titan creator Hajime Isayama has put four of his work desks on auction at the 50th Angouleme International Comics Festival in France. The process made from the auction will go to Doctors Without Borders.
The four desks measure 112 x 120 cm and weigh around 100 kilograms (220 lbs). Each contains Isayama’s signature and one of the possible illustrations; Eren and Mikasa, Eren and Levi, Eren and Armin, and the Colossal Titan. The starting bid for the desks was 500 euros (around $543 USD). The estimated final bis are between 2,000 to 4,000 Euros (about $2,173 to $4,347 USD).
French art auction house Drouot is handling the online auction. Bids are open until February 11th. The official page is available in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Chinese.
Hajime Isayama and Attack on Titan: Auctioning Desks After the End
The original Attack on Titan manga by Hajime Isayama debuted in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine in 2009 and ran until April 2021. The 34th and last volume of the manga were published in June 2021. The manga was published in English both digitally and physically by Kodansha USA Publishing, and the 34th volume was made available in October 2021.
Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 2 debuted on the NHK General channel on January 9 and ran for 12 overall episodes. As the second episode aired in Japan, Crunchyroll and Funimation streamed it. In April 2013, the first television anime season debuted, and in April 2017, the second season did the same. The third season’s second half debuted in April 2019, with the first half premiering in July 2018. Most recently, the franchise has confirmed The Final Season Part 3.
