Gwoop Academy is looking to break into the world of eSports. It’s no surprise, considering how lucrative things are now. We have also seen the creation of entire eSports training schools. With so many people going to them, how is everyone else supposed to measure up? This is where the Minnesota-based group is hoping to help ‘even the odds.’

How does Gwoop Academy Help Gamers?

There are a few ways that the budding eSports academy helps players train. Here are a few they currently have up and running:

  • Reaction Training – reaction is nearly everything in a multiplayer FPS. And keeping that in mind, Gwoop Academy is hoping to have players gain sharper reflexes during intense play. Simply click your mouse when the background changes to the color the text mentions. The levels become increasingly difficult as one progresses.
  • FPS Training Arena – it certainly isn’t easy to be an eagle-eyed sharpshooter. But with an arena to run rounds in, you might gain experience enough to take on professional-level players.
  • Keyboard Speed – anyone who’s taken a typing class knows the importance of this. Knowing where the right keys are in the heat of battle can save your squad. Consider this if you’ve ever ‘forgotten’ what your keyboard configuration was.
  • Visual Memory – not everyone’s recall is the same. And Gwoop Academy hopes to help everyone’s memory. This can help with remembering terrain in an FPS, or how well certain spells stack in others.

Each of these tools is measured to give you an overall rating. You can add friends and compare scores. Then test yourself to see if you can beat other times on the leaderboards. Check out the training tools here. And see how well they improve your stats as you train.

Gwoop Academy is looking to inherent value to all eSports players. With their training, they are hoping to manage professional gamers the way NFL does players. Many players might be able to show their stats as they join their Discord and give developers valuable feedback to improve and keep updated on additions. Currently, access is by invitation only.
