Speculation and rumors have spread regarding the eighth, and final season, of the hit HBO series Game of Thrones. Based on the novels A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin, the author also has been deeply involved in the writing for the show. The Game of Thrones show will come to an end before the books actually do. So fans of the books and show alike are in suspense about how it all will end. The actors have been keeping very quiet about the ending – until now.

Gwendoline Christie, known for her character Brienne of Tarth, told E News:

Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen, had also said:

Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark, reported she was “numb” after reading the final scripts. And Peter Dinklage, who plays Tyrion Lannister, has told fans to expect an action sequence to rival Season 6’s Battle of the Bastards.

It’s been reported that Season 8 will open with Winterfell and contain plenty of callbacks to the series’ successful pilot. Daenerys will meet other characters as they all prepare to face the ultimate threat to their land: The Night King and his army of the dead. The final season for Game of Thrones will air on HBO in 2019. The fates of beloved characters such as Arya Stark, Jaime Lannister, and Jon Snow will come to a close soon.
