Last week, we discussed the upcoming release of the Diamond Casino Heist for GTA Online. We discussed how the heist would be different from any other heist that came before it, along with the new arcade property and what it entailed. Today that content has officially been released, and we have much more information on what you can expect from it.
According to a post on Rockstar Newswire (their blog), the Cheng family wants to get back at the Duggans. You may have received a cryptic text on your in-game phone, which was apparently from Georgina Cheng. She’s the more responsible sister of Tao and is looking to take all that now belongs to the Duggan family. Your goal will be to break into the Diamond Casino and Resort and heist their elusive vault, promising riches far beyond previous offerings.
To take this heist on, you’re going to need a discreet place to set up. That’s where the new arcade comes into play. The upper part of the arcade is used for the different machines, which you purchase to build up the business. The lower levels though are where the magic happens, allowing you to set up the different planning missions and store supplies. As a bonus, Twitch Prime members in good standing can get a Paleto Bay arcade property free of charge. You’ll need a crew to help you manage things, options for which being available through Lester’s network. Make sure to choose wisely, as your crew will heavily impact how the heist plays out.
There will be three different ways to approach the heist. You can either do “Silent and Sneaky”, “The Big Con” which has you disguising as different staff members, or “Aggressive” which has you go in guns blazing. The heist promises many different choices for you and your crew to make, allowing for a lot of replayability. This level of content hasn’t been seen in previous GTA Online heists and is a very welcome addition for players.
You need something to spend your hard-earned cash on, which the vehicles do for you. There are five new heist vehicles, ranging from the luxurious Lampadati Komoda to the off-road Karin Everon. You can also purchase six new vehicles from Warstock, including the Fire Truck and Gruppe Sechs Stockade. Besides purchasable offerings, there’s a new radio station and some new world events that you can take part in. Some of which, can earn you new options for the new heist.
With all these new offerings, there’s plenty for you to look forward to in GTA Online today and beyond. Thankfully, this isn’t the only news you’ll be getting today.
