What is The Hedge Lab in Grounded?

The Hedge Lab is undoubtedly one of the most ruined locations in the game. However, despite its state, it remains dedicated to analyzing and researching berries and their various effects. Some of its rooms and corridors are caved in, with vines and other plant life growing through the cracks. Some of the walls have fallen off and crashed onto the Hedge floor. The remaining parts are infested with plant life and Orb Weavers. You must ride on Zip Lines to access some parts of the Lab. All in all, it’s a pretty fascinating place – especially for those interested in botany!

How to find the Hedge Lab in Grounded

You can find the Hedge Lab at the trunk of the Large Hedge on the top of the stone wall, located in the south South East corner of the map. But getting access to it and finding the Password is not easy. You must go through many challenges before reaching the Hedge Lab. Here are the steps you need to follow to find the Hedge Lab and the Password.

Finding the Frist Laboratory

  • Start the journey from the Field Station shown on the map.
  • Go directly to your left-hand side(Facing opposite to field station), Following the Branch.
  • Go straight until the Branch becomes thinner (Do not take the first fork)
  • Jump to the nearest thick Branch at the next fork. It is right beneath you.
  • You will meet some mushrooms at the end of the Branch and a juice box. Near the Juice box, there is a Zipline. Use the Zipline and jump off from it to a sizeable overgrown branch. You will see the First Labotary near to you.
  • Go inside the Lab, and at the end of it, you will find some foods, Overlook Notes, and Bandages. Also, you can destroy two TAYZ.T and gain 100 Raw Science for each.

Finding the Second Laboratory

  • Go to the front door of the first Laboratory.
  • Go to the place you Jumped down from the Zip Line.
  • Take the left Branch at the end of the Zipline Anchor and follow until you meet a thinner branch to the right. There are some Orange mushrooms beneath it, so you will not miss it.
  • Get on to the thinner Branch and cross on to the next big Branch. Take a right and go until you meet some eggs. Jump to your left at this point and continue straight. Then, you will meet the second Laboratory at the end of that Branch.   There are more Raw Science, food, water, and Outpost Notes. Also, you will find the first Scabi piece in the large container in the middle.

Finding the Third Laboratory

  • Come out from the Second Laboratory and turn Right. Go until you find Large Mushrooms to the left and go along the Mushrooms until you find a Zip Line Anchor.
  • Use the Zip Line and go until the end.
  • Take the Right Branch, and you see a Frisbee. Jump onto it and go straight. There is another small branch that goes to the left side.
  • Go to the end of the Branch, and you will meet another Zipline. Use the Zipline and the Third Lab at the end of the Zip Line. You might encounter some Spiders in there.
  • There are not many items in the Third Laboratory. Collect them and come out of the Lab from the Back door.

Finding the main Laboratory

  • Take your immediate left. There is a  Dandelion Tuft. Make a parachute by equipping it to the glider slot. It will protect you in case you fall.
  • Go straight, and you will find some Mushrooms again. Once you pass those Mushrooms, you will see a leaf to the right. Jump onto it and get to the next Branch.
  • Go on that Branch until you meet the next Zipline Anchor.
  • Use the Zip Line; at the end of it, there is the Main Lab.
  • Go into the Lab and activate the Computer.

How to find the Hedge Lab Password in Grounded

You need to get the Password to Login into the Main Computer. Here is how to get the Password.

Finding the First Password Piece

  • There is a passage behind the right side of the Computer. Go through the passage. ( We also advise you to save the game since you will encounter some tiny spiders here)
  • There is a Spider net, and go ahead by cutting through it. You will come to another room, and there are some spiders to fight. At the back of the room is the number 58, the first piece of the Password.

Finding the second Password Piece

  • The immediate door in front of that is locked. So go to the passage Right. (Save the game again)
  • Go ahead by cutting through the Spider net, and you will have to fight another two TAYZ.Ts in front of the door.
  • Take a right, and you will see a passage. It will lead to another room. You have to fight two more TAYZ.Ts in there. Pick up some Raw science, and you will fight another TAYZ.T and spider. There is a Zipline Anchor in the Room. Use it, and you will be hit by a branch and drop into another branch. Walk underneath the Branch and grab the Zipline again.
  • At the end of the Zip Line, there is another room you will find the second password Piece written as 419.

Finding the Third Password piece

  • There is a hole in the floor in the middle. Jump through it, and you will land on a Mushroom.
  • Look around, and you will see a door. It opens a passage and goes through until you meet some Spider cocoons.
  • Take the left Tunnel upward, and You will come across two paths. Then take a left and go up. You will end up in a store room at the end of the Tunnel. You can grab many resources, and you will also see a Zip Line Anchor.
  • Use the Zipline and jump at the yellow light above the building
  • There is a hole on the top of the building, and jump through it.
  • There you will find the Third piece of the Password.

Finding the Fourth Password piece

  • Come out of the door, and There is another door covered with Spider nets. Enter from that door, and it is the door that was closed previously when you grabbed the first Password piece.
  • Come over to Zip Lines areas where you can see two Zip Lines. Jump to the Branch right beneath that point. Look around, and you will see a room with some Spiders.
  • Use the Nearest Zipline attached to the room, and you will find the Fourth Password Piece in that room.

How to Unlock The Room in Hedge Lab

Once you find four pieces, go to the first room where you enter the Lab. Stand in front of the Terminal and enter the Password. It will open a door behind you, opening a space. You will get Control Room Notes, Rotten Gas Mask, and Hedge BURG.L Chip rewards.
