Obsidian Entertainment’s hit co-op survival game Grounded, which takes “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids” to a whole new level, announced a full release window of this September during the Xbox Bethesda showcase today. Following two years of Early Access (or Game Preview, if you’re on Xbox), the team is excited to bring the full game to players with a complete story and many new additions. Take a look at the new trailer below.
Growing Grounded Into Full Release
As mentioned on the official Grounded website, this 1.0 release will include all 12 updates released up to this point alongside the 1.0 update, which is set to bring a conclusion to the campaign built up thus far. Discover why these kids have been shrunk, what’s been happening deep within the local backyard, and how you can return yourself to regular size. To help convey this final piece of the puzzle, Grounded will be opening up an entirely new part of the world, the Upper Yard. Not only will this fuel incredible amounts of exploration, but it will also bring new armor, weapon, and secret recipes that are sure to bring variety to the experience.
Obsidian Entertainment had the following to say, looking back at Early Access and leading up to the full release:
Grounded, as revealed at the Xbox Bethesda Showcase, is set to launch on both Xbox and PC platforms for $39.99. It will also be available on PC and Xbox Game Pass as it always has been. For those of you who aren’t into subscriptions, you can also take up the pre-launch price of $29.99 if you want a cheaper price for what is likely to be a great survival game.
