A new GreedFall gameplay trailer launched on Wednesday showing just how much players will be able to customize in the new RPG. Most gamers got their first look at the title during E3 and since then, details have been trickling out.

Heading for release on September 9, the new game looks a bit like a combination of The Witcher 3 and the Dishonored series though there is a ton more customization options than either of those games ever came close to offering.

The GreedFall gameplay trailer was longer than three minutes long, showing the massive customization capabilities the devs are going to offer. There’s the usual character creator but the game’s devs claim the ability to customize how you will look in-game is unmatched.

Once you’ve decided what you’re going to look like, you choose a class and then specialties. Each class and specialty is going to offer different styles of play. If you’re wanting to be a wizard, you can do that. You can also be a knight type character swinging a heavy broadsword, or a lighter warrior who kills with speed and stealth. There are even guns to blast enemies away.

The most interesting aspect of the GreedFall gameplay trailer was the relationships you can forge in the game. Yes, you will be able to travel with companions, but these aren’t mindless tagalongs. These companions will need to be tended to and kept happy. Should a player ignore the needs of their party, the group is in for some strife.

If you ignore their needs long enough, you might even have a mutiny on your hands. Show them the care and support they need, and you could find yourself in the middle of a hot and steamy romance. From what was shown off in the video, this includes the ability to forge same-sex relationships.

Strategy in dealing with combat situations are certainly important, but the strategy in how you deal with diplomacy appears to carry almost as much weight. With the game arriving next month, the GreedFall gameplay trailer has set the stage nicely.

GreedFall is coming to the PS4, Xbox One and PC on September 10.
