Today, the studio Rockstar Games have rolled out the red carpet for players to welcome them back to Los Santos as Grand Theft Auto V releases current-generation consoles. With the arrival of Grand Theft Auto to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, Rockstar is upgrading Los Santos for players to once again take to the streets. GTA Online is now separate from Grand Theft Auto V, becoming its standalone title on the newest generation consoles.

Los Santos receives an upgrade in the new Grand Theft Auto 5 release

With the Grand Theft Auto V release to the PS5 and Series X|S, the developers have brought even greater detail to the living, breathing city. Several enhancements that have come to Grand Theft Auto V include:

Enhanced visuals: Three new graphic modes are added with additional gameplay customization with improved fidelity and performance. Featuring up to 4K resolution, up to 60 FPS, HDR options, ray tracing, and enhanced texture qualities.

Faster loading times: With the improved hardware of the newest generation consoles, players will now have quicker access to the world of Los Santos and Blaine County.

Immersive controls: The PlayStation 5 will see improved controls using the Haptic Feedback and dynamic resistance via the Adaptive Triggers on the PlayStation 5 DualSense wireless controller. Players will feel changes, including weather effects, rough road surfaces, explosions, and directional damage.

New menu design: Bringing easy access to everything GTA Online offers right from the main menu. Check out the latest updates, jump right into heists, races, and adversary modes, or jump directly into free mode. Players can also browse the weekly event offering discounts, 2X GTA$ opportunities, and more.

Profile migration: Players can now bring their characters to the new generation version of GTA Online, and when they migrate accounts, they will receive an in-game vehicle, the HSW Karin S95.
