Available in both Japanese and English.

If you’ve been interested in the December-announced Granblue Fantasy: Versus and wanted a chance to play it, then you’re in luck, as Cygames has announced it will be hosting a Closed Beta — a series of them, even — in the near future.

As a quick reminder, Granblue Fantasy: Versus is a fighting game developed by Arc System Works (Blazblue, Guilty Gear, Dragon Ball FighterZ) which is based on Cygame’s massively popular mobage, Granblue Fantasy. It’s due out for the PlayStation 4 in 2019.

Here is the full schedule:

  • May 31 from 2:00 a.m. PST/9:00 a.m. GMT to 7:00 a.m. PST/2:00 p.m. GMT
  • May 31 from 6:00 p.m. PST/June 1 from 1:00 a.m. GMT to 11:00 p.m. PST/6:00 a.m. GMT
  • June 1 from 9:00 a.m. PST/4:00 p.m. GMT to 2:00 p.m. PST/9:00 p.m. GMT

If you’re interested, then head on over to the game’s website where you can fill out an application in either English or Japanese. The process is relatively simple, only requiring applicants to supply their region and email address, but do be aware that the confirmation email might take awhile to arrive, may show up in your spam folder, and won’t show up at all unless your email is configured to accept email from @cygames.co.jp. Fortunately, the application deadline isn’t until May 23, 2019 11 p.m.,PST/May 24, 2019 6 a.m. GMT, so you have plenty of time.

Once that is over and done with, all that’s left is to wait and hope you get in.

In related news, if you want to see how the game looks when it’s being played by professional players, then Cygames has a treat for you: a set between Daigo and Fuudo. There’s only a teaser for now, but the full video will be coming in a few days.
