Here Comes The Sun
As current circumstances in the world continue to escalate, we can only hope to find more positivity and outlets to keep us sane. Thankfully, as a way to help people stay safe and indoors, the public has been given some treats to help them during these times. One, in particular, is the horror adventure Close To The Sun, which is free on the Epic Games Store for this week.
Indie publisher Wired Productions expressed their sympathies in a recent tweet, stating that “Things are difficult right now for everyone.”

Originally released on May 2nd, 2019, Close To The Sun takes the ideas and concepts of Nikola Tesla in turns it into a twisted narrative nightmare. Taking place in 1897, you play as journalist Rose Archer, who embarks on a quest in search of her sister Ada aboard a gigantic ship known as the Helios. A safe haven for research and development, things quickly become questionable as Rose dives deeper into the secrets of the scientific unknown.
Explore the Helios ship and all of its sinister corners while stringing along with the misaligned madness of Tesla’s ideas and experiments.
The game generally received positive reviews for its unique storytelling and concept delivery. It takes similar cues from the Bioshock titles and other well-known first-person games that pins the player within a horror setting.
Close To The Sun was developed by Rome-based team Storm in a Teacup and published by Wired Productions. It’s free via the Epic Games store for this week for PC players.
Close To The Sun is also available to play on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
